Walt Disney World
Disney resort hotels open 499 days in advance, and dining reservations open 60 days out from your arrival. For peak weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break, week of July 4), book your hotel 11 months ahead — the deluxe resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, BoardWalk Inn) sell out their preferred categories first.
For value seasons (late January through mid-February, the first three weeks of September, first two weeks of December), 6–8 months is plenty, and you'll often catch a 25–35% room discount that drops in spring or fall.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line opens new sailings about 18 months out, and the best concierge suites and stateroom categories for popular itineraries (Wish Bahamian, Treasure maiden voyages, Alaska summer) sell out within days. Book 12–18 months out for any sailing you care about.
There are no last-minute Disney cruise bargains. Pricing only goes up.
Disneyland
Disneyland is more flexible. Hotel rooms at the Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian, and Pixar Place become available about 12 months out, but 4–6 months is usually enough lead time to get the room and the park dates you want.
Aulani
Aulani in Hawaii has more inventory than people realize, but ocean-view villas and the Christmas–New Year window do sell out. Book 6–9 months ahead for those; 3–4 months works for everything else.
